Mother Mary Come To Me
The Baby Jesus One Act Jubilee, The Brick Theater
December 2007
In Mother Mary Come To Me, a ten-minute play presented at The Baby Jesus One-Act Jubilee, Jesus' true mother Sheila dies during child-birth. But when Gabriel tells Joseph to find the Son of God a new mom, it becomes a tale of love and overcoming loss. With a minimum number of baby Jesus jokes.

PRESS
Off Off Online says, "the mixed-media piece provides welcome variation in the marathon’s performance style."
"With Michael Cera-esque awkwardness, Brian Barrett’s Joseph makes uncomfortable attempts at foreplay and talks about 'real sex' while Siobhan Doherty’s clear-eyed Mary worries about Jesus, asleep in the next room."
